Graduation Requirements


a. Certificate

CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN COUNSELING
Certificate in Christian Counseling is awarded to students who have completed 26 quarter units of CBC curriculum in the specified courses in the areas of Christian Counseling and Spiritual Formation.

b. Diplomas

1) DIPLOMA IN BIBLE
Students who have satisfactorily completed 48 quarter units of CBC curriculum, but do not have sufficient general education units from an accredited college or community college, may, provided all other graduation requirements are met, be awarded a Diploma in Bible.

2) DIPLOMA IN BIBLE AND MINISTRY
Students who have satisfactorily completed 96 quarter units of CBC curriculum, but do not have sufficient general education units from an accredited college or community college, may, provided all other graduation requirements are met, be awarded a Diploma in Bible and Ministry. It should be noted that satisfactory completion of 96 quarter units from CBC in the required subject areas meets the educational requirements for credentialing and licensing as a minister by the Assemblies of God, Northern California-Nevada District Council. Students are encouraged to discuss all these requirements with the Vice President of CBC. The District Council also requires ministry involvement and evidence of divine calling as conditions for credentialing.

c. Degrees CBC does not teach general education classes, consequently general education units required for a CBC degree must be transferred in from an accredited college or community college. The units may have been earned prior to coming to CBC, concurrent with enrollment at CBC, or after attending CBC. However, these units must be transferred to CBC not later than 5 years after graduation from CBC. General Education units must be from each of the below listed subject areas in the amount indicated.

Note: 1 semester unit = 1.5 quarter units, thus 15 semester units = 22.5 quarter units, 21 semester units = 32 quarter units, and 30 semester units = 45 quarter units.

1) AA Degree: ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN BIBLE
In order to be awarded an AA Degree in Bible, a student must meet either (a) or (b) below.

a) 48 CBC quarter units, and
42 quarter units (or equivalent) from an accredited college or community college.
90 quarter units (or equivalent) total
Note: 25% minimum of the 90 quarter units (22.5 units) must be general education units. The remaining units may be additional general education units or other accredited units from a college or community college.

b) 48 CBC quarter units, plus an AA degree, or equivalent units, from an accredited college or community college.
Note: AA Degree or equivalent units means 60 or more semester units from an accredited college or community college.

2) AA Degree: ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN BIBLE AND MINISTRY
In order to receive the AA Degree in Bible and Minsitry, the following is required:

96 CBC quarter units
32 quarter units from an accredited college or community college
128 quarter units (or equivalent) total.
Note: 25% (minimum) of the 128 quarter units (32) must be general education units.

3) BA Degree: BACHELOR OF ARTS IN BIBLE AND MINISTRY
In order to be awarded a BA Degree, a student must meet either (a) or (b) below.

a) 96 CBC quarter units
84 quarter units (or equivalent) from an accredited college or community college.
180 quarter units (or equivalent) total
Note: 25% minimum, of the 180 units (45 quarter units) must be general education units. The remaining quarter units may be additional general education units or core or elective units from an accredited college or community college.

b) 96 CBC quarter units, plus an AA Degree from an accredited college or community college, or equivalent units. Note: AA Degree or equivalent units means 60 or more semester units from an accredited college or community college.

d. Additional Graduation Requirements:
In addition to those requirements outlined above, a student must also have earned a grade point average of 2.0 or higher; must have satisfactorily completed all courses for a specific course of study; must be current in their financial obligations to the school; and be in good moral standing as a Christian.
